Wichita State @ UCF
Current Records: Wichita State 12-8; UCF 13-8
What to Know
The Wichita State Shockers are 8-0 against the UCF Knights since January of 2018, and they’ll have a chance to extend that success Tuesday. Wichita State and UCF will face off in an American Athletic battle at 9 p.m. ET at Addition Financial Arena. The point spread is more or less neutral, so fans should expect a close matchup.
While not quite a landslide, the contest between the Shockers and the SMU Mustangs this past Saturday was still a pretty decisive one as Wichita State wrapped it up with a 72-57 win at home. Guard Ricky Council IV was the offensive standout of the game for Wichita State, picking up 20 points in addition to seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, UCF has to be hurting after a devastating 88-60 defeat at the hands of the Memphis Tigers this past Saturday. One thing holding the Knights back was the mediocre play of guard Darius Perry, who did not have his best game: he played for 31 minutes but put up just eight points on 3-for-12 shooting.
Wichita State’s victory lifted them to 12-8 while UCF’s loss dropped them down to 13-8. We’ll see if the Shockers can repeat their recent success or if UCF bounces back and reverse their fortune.
