Bettors like Sixers, Suns, Mavs to win in 6

Bettors like the chances of three NBA playoff series ending on Thursday night.

All three teams up 3-2 entering Thursday night are favored on the road. And all three of those teams are getting the majority of bets and money against the spread at BetMGM.

The Philadelphia 76ers are 1.5-point favorites at the Toronto Raptors. Philly had a 3-0 series lead but has lost the last two games. The Sixers will play Thursday night without the unvaccinated Matisse Thybulle and are getting 68% of bets and 64% of the money bet against the spread to move on to the second round and face the Miami Heat.

The Phoenix Suns are 2.5-point favorites at the New Orleans Pelicans and getting the most bets of any favorite at 72%. Those bets equal 78% of the handle as the Suns’ convincing win in Game 5 has clearly made bettors think the series will be over before Game 7.

The Dallas Mavericks are also 1.5-point favorites ahead of their potential clincher against the Utah Jazz. Donovan Mitchell is good to go for Game 6 after suffering a hamstring strain in Game 5, and it’d be a fantastic time for him to start shooting well this series. Mitchell is shooting less than 40% from the field as the Jazz are a loss away from elimination and a potential summer shakeup.

The Mavericks are getting 61% of bets but nearly three-quarters of the money bet on the game. That’s the biggest discrepancy between bets and money of any of the three games.

While bettors are unanimous about the favorites, they’re split on the over/unders on Thursday night. The biggest lean is on the under in Salt Lake City as 76% of bets and 90% of the money is on under 210.5 to hit. Nearly 60% of the bets are on under 210.5 in Toronto while those bets make up two-thirds of the money. Meanwhile, 60% of the bets are on over 213.5 in New Orleans, though 61% of the money is on the under.
